Thatta Payir Kulambu / Karamani Kulambu / Cowpeas Curry

Thatta payir kulambu is a south Indian curry, that makes a wonderful combination for rice or wheat/ragi Kali, or dosa. My Mother usually makes with brinjal, potato and dried fish. This curry can be made with any veggies like drumstick, chow chow, bottle gourd, etc. I have made this recipe with potato.

Don’t remove the soaked water or boiled Thatta Payir (cowpeas) water. Because you will lose rich nutrients of cowpeas. You should always add the water into the curry.
