Topica vadai / Maravalli Kilangu vadai is delicious spicy and healthy vada. Easy to prepare and its very good for kids, as it helps in healthy weight gain and maintain good bone health.
It also helps to improve the metabolic activities. Instead of Junk foods, this tapioca vada is great evening snacks for kids.

Channa dal/ Kadalai Parupu(Soak it for 2 hours at least)
Dry Red Chilies (You may add additional 2 chillies if you are spicy lover)
Ginger(I have used 4 Small Piece )
Salt (As per your taste)
Oil(As required to fry)
Cut Tapioca into small pieces
Grind it into a coarse paste with adding any water.
Transfer the paste into large container.
In a dry mixer jar, add Red chillies, Ginger, garlic and fennel seeds. Grind it into a fine powder.
To the same jar, add soaked channa dal.
Grind it into a coarse paste again without adding water.
Now add the Channal dal paste, Tapioca paste, Onions, Coriander Leaves and Salt in a large bowl.
NOTE : No need to add water.
Mix it all together to form a dough as show in the picture.
Add enough oil to a pan to fry the Vadas.
Keep the flame in medium heat all time.
Role the dough into small vadas and fry them in medium flames.
Spicy, Healthy Tapioca vadas are ready to be severed as snacks.
NOTE : I have not used water at all in this whole recipe. if the Dough is watery, you may add Rice or Corn flour to make it thick dough.
