Easy, Quick and Delicious Colorful Homemade Blueberry Jam (No Added Pectin) with simple  3 ingredients.

This jam recipe is low in sugar and you can make without pectin. This Healthy Jam you can store in fridge up to 4 weeks.

Is it possible to make Jam without Pectin?

Oh!!! Yes, when you have blueberries. It has Natural Pectin and would give you jelly consistency when mixed with Lemon, Lime. When you heat the blueberries and sugar together, natural pectin gets released. The lemon juice is also used to keep harmful bacteria from growing, it is necessary when you store the Blueberry Jam.

  • I have washed used fresh blueberries and have washed it twice . You may use Frozen blueberries as well.
  • In sauce pan, I have added fresh Blueberries
  • Let it cook for 2 minutes as shown picture
  • I have Added Brown Sugar as Healthier option, You may add any Sugar of your Choice as required.
  • After Adding Sugar it would melt as shown in picture. Using a smasher, Smash it well. Add Lemon juice and keep cooking & stirring, until mixture gets thick
  • you should stir constantly or your jam may get burned. Let it Cook for 15 minute on low Flame.
  • Your Jam is ready when the mixture is thick, Now an Delicious Homemade Colorful Blueberry Jam is ready. Serve with Bread or Pancakes even with Vanilla Ice Cream. once it cools down, transfer into glass jar and refrigerate it.


I have used fresh blueberries, You can use frozen as well. this jam can be refrigerated for up to 4 weeks. I have used Brown Sugar  in this jam.You may any sugar of your choice like Coconut sugar, Jaggery. Make sure your  Glass Jar Dry.

  1. Making home made jams is a tradition in Croatia, we make it from every fruit you can think of. I just finished making strawberry, raspberry and cherry ones. It is nice to see more people makeing homemade ones.

  2. I would love to make it with jaggery . Would love a spoonful with my breakfast. I haven’t tried it before.
