Egg Fried Rice / முட்டை சாதம்

You can make this Simple Egg fried recipe with Basmati rice and available veggies at home. I have used only egg, you can add additional veggies as well, like carrots and Beans.

This recipe is so easy and quick to make. You can cook this recipe for dinner and save some cooking time.

You can server this Egg Fried rice with chicken or egg Manchurian.

    Let's start with the Rice
  • Wash the rice twice in water and let it a side for 20 minutes before cooking. No need to soak the rice in water. In a vessel add 5 cups of water and required salt. NOTE : Cooking Rice in right consistence is very important.
  • When the water starts to boil, add the rice and cook only for 7 to 8 Minutes until the rice is 80% cooked.
  • Strain the rice and run 4 to 5 cups cold water until the rice cools down.
  • To a pan add Oil. When it is hot, add ginger and garlic. Saute for about a minute.
  • Add Onions and saute for about a minute again.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of salt, so that onion would cook faster.
  • Add eggs at this stage.
  • Stir to bring it to scrambled egg texture.
  • Add capsicum and saute for 30 Seconds. Note : You may add additional Vegetables as well, like carrot and Beans.
  • At this Stage add enough salt as per your taste.
  • Add Pepper Powder.
  • Add Soy Sauce.
  • Add White wine Vinegar and saute well.
  • Add rice and mix it well, make sure not to over stir as the rice would break. Once mixed will add Spring Onions.
  • Our Egg Fried Rice is now ready to be served piping hot. Serve with Tomato sauce or any Manchurian. Happy Cooking!!!
