Potato Fry or Urulaikilangu Varuval is my all time favorite fry for all variety rices, especially with Curd Rice. One easy, simple and very common side dish. Tasty South Indian famous Potato fry recipe.

  • Peel the potato skin and cut them into medium thin slices as shown in picture.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
  • Add the sliced potatoes and toss it well in the oil
  • Add the cumin powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, coriander powder, Chilli powder, garam masala and Salt. Toss it well in the added masala.
  • Keep mixing in between and Roast the potatoes in the add oil, until the potato are cook well.

Notes

You can also add curry leaves for additional flavor and Kashmiri chilli powder if you want to make it colorful.
