Bhindi Masala Recipe / Indian Okra Curry
Ladies Finger / Okra is pure vegetarian fare at its best!! Bhindi masala or Okra is one of the popular dish in north Indian homes or restaurant.
It has more health Benefits, so usually, we will make it in our home weekly once or twice. especially it is good for kids for their brain development and memory power. We can make so many dishes in Okra, today I tried a recipe called Okra masala flavoured with onion and tomato and spices that makes great side dish for roti or naan or white rice.
Wash and dry, trim the tops and tip and cut into pieces as shown in the picture and heat the oil in a pan add okra or ladies finger.
Saute in low to medium flame for 12 to 15 minutes.
In the same pan add remaining oil, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, add onion saute until translucent.
Add Ginger Garlic paste and saute until raw smells loses.
Add tomatoes and cook until get smashed. Cover and cook for 2 minutes to cook faster.
Add coriander powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, mix well for
Add yoghurt or curd and mix well.
Add some water and cover with a lid and cook for 5mintues.
Note: make sure after adding the yoghurt, reduce the flame from low to medium.
Add some water and add fried okra or ladies finger and required salt and mix well.
Note: if you want to make little watery masala then you can add extra water on it as per your choice.
Cover and cook for 15mintues in low to medium flame.
Our Spicy Bhindi Masala is ready to serve with white rice or roti.
